PROPHETIC DAILY DEVOTION

AGAIN AND AGAIN.
By Prophetess B.N Bondera
So, leaving them again, he went away and prayed for the third time, saying the same words again. (Matthew 26:44)
In Shona we say, ‘dzokororo ine simba’ literally meaning ‘there’s power in repetition’. However, this depends with the condition that it suits or favours the person who is requesting for the repetition. If it is negative, or when it brings loss or pain noone can call for the repetition. The negative of ‘dzokororo ine simba’ is monotonous, boring and a waste of time and energy. Thus, there’s is no power, joy or benefit from such a repetition.
However, it is that pain and endurance which brings good and positive results. It was time when Jesus was about to be arrested and crucified that He prayed the same prayer thrice leaving His disciples a distance behind. God’s will prevailed and indeed Christ fulfilled His earthly mission. Right now Christ is enjoying the benefits of that “sweat of blood”.
You might be serving God repeatedly, daily cleaning and arranging chairs or offering daily prayers, weekly giving offerings and monthly sacrifices of tithes and contributions sweating without any positive results. Lose not heart continue serving, continue giving and continue doing what is right surely dzokororo ine simba…!!!. Do it again and again one day you shall reap.
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
👉2 Kings 13:18-19 Then he said, “Take the arrows”; so he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, “Strike the ground”; so he struck three times, and stopped. And the man of God was angry with him, and said, “You should have struck five or six times; then you would have struck Syria till you had destroyed it! But now you will strike Syria only three times.”
TODAY’S VERSE
