CHOICES

Exod.34.12 – Take heed to yourself, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it be a snare in your midst.
Obedience to the Word of God is fully tested when one manages to overcome the temptation of other choices that are contrary to the will of God. For example, at creation of the world, God did not put a flaming sword to prevent Adam and Eve from accessing the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. To test their obedience God gave these two equal access to the tree just like any other tree. To eat or not to eat was their choice.
On entering the land of Canaan, there were people leaving there. God did not completely wipe off those people neither did He destroy their lifestyle, their worship or their gods. To worship those gods or not to was a choice the children of Israel had to make on their own.
Today the world has its lifestyle, customs and many other gods one can worship. To follow the ways of the world or The Way is a choice one must make on your own. Today it’s Sunday, coincidentally the beginning of a new month, the choice is yours: you can start the new month in all the other places that the world offers or you can start the month in the House of God.
