It’s all about CHARACTER, not size!

Matt.17.20 – So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
Most of the time when we read this Scripture we are quick to conclude that the Lord Jesus Christ was talking here about the physical size of a mustard seed. In other words we say Jesus is saying we only need faith as small as a mustard seed for us to be able to move mountains.
However in this month where we are searching the Scriptures deeper to fully understand the secrets behind the principle of faith, the Holy Spirit revealed something else to me concerning this Scripture. I realised that here Jesus Christ is not only talking about the physical size of a mustard seed but also the character of the seed. Though it being one of the smallest seeds, only 1 to 2 millimeters in diameter it allows it self to be buried underground, to decay and die and still be able to germinate and grow into a big tree as high as 2,7 meters. This is almost 2 700 times bigger than its original size. Some may say the seed is stubborn, others will say it is courageous. I would like to say it has total trust in the Word of God (FAITH).
This is the kind of faith that Jesus is talking about here. Even though your ministry or small business is struggling and at the verge of collapse, have faith like a mustard that it will rise up to become one of the biggest in the world. Whatever situation you are in right now, just believe that you are coming out stronger and that you will blossom so much that the current situation will soon be forgotten.
