PRAY FOR PROSPERITY

Jer.29.7 – And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace.
Most of our prayers as Christians are centered on us as individuals totally ignoring the people or the environment surrounding us. Yet in today’s Scripture God is telling the children of Israel that even though they are in captivity in Babylon they need to pray for the peace of Babylon for if there is peace in Babylon, they will also have peace in their lives.
God may answer your prayers and bless you financially in the middle of an economic crisis in your country. However you may not enjoy your blessings as much as you would if the whole country was blessed. For example no matter how rich you are and everyone around you is poor, you are not immune to such social ills such as drug abuse, prostitution, crime that tend to thrive in an environment of economic decay. So instead of praying for your prosperity only it is more beneficial to you to pray for the prosperity of your country so that as the country prospers, you will also prosper, everyone around you prospers and these social ills will decline.
Today take sometime to pray for the politics and economics of your country to be right. Pray also for your community to be free from all social vices for in its peace you will also have peace.
MEDITATION:
👉🏾1Tim.2.1 – I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. As you make your requests, plead for God’s mercy upon them, and give thanks.
1Tim.2.2 – Pray this way for kings and all others who are in authority, so that we can live in peace and quietness, in godliness and dignity.
DECLARATION:
⚡LET THERE BE PROSPERITY IN OUR LAND…!!!
