SERVING GOD EFFECTIVELY
By Prophet T.B Bondera
2Kgs.20.3 – “Remember now, O LORD, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
After Hezekiah had been told about his impending death by the Prophet Isaiah, he cried to God and God answered his prayer instantly and gave him an extra fifteen years to live. Besides the things that Hezekiah had done for God, it was also the way he had done those things that pushed God to respond to his prayer immediately.
There are three factors concerning the way that Hezekiah served God that pushed God to reply Hezekiah instantly:
- He walked before God in truth: Many of us we walk before God in pretense. In worship we lift our hands high, our heads bowed down, tears streaming down our cheeks and yet our hearts are filled with envy, Jealousy, lust, Unforgiveness, bitterness etc.
- He served God with a loyal heart: this meant Hezekiah was devoted completely to God and God alone. He was not double minded, his attention to God was not divided.
- He always did what was good in the sight of God: God is omnipresent, meaning He is everywhere, every time and is therefore able to see the things we do even in the darkest corner when we are alone. There is nothing that is hidden from Him. Do the things we do or say or the places we visit sometimes, always pleases God.
Try to do the things you do for God in the way that Hezekiah did and you shall start to experience the supernatural provision from God every day of your life.
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
👉🏿Jas.1.7 – For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;
👉🏿Jas.1.8 – he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
