BE STILL
Mar 4:39 -And he awoke and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
In this boat we have experienced fishermen, who have travelled these waters countless times. But this kind of storm really terrified them. It was something they had never experienced at sea.
You might be young or old, having a better experience of this life and it’s challenges, but there are certain dimensions of wars that one cannot stand or face regardless of their deep experience with life.
Loosing your sole job unexpectedly and without any tangible reason could be such kind of a storm. Your husband having a mistress could be no big deal, but sending you packing your bags because of a mistress is totally a very unpleasant storm. Having your in-laws seize the whole estate from you in the event of the death of your husband is one terrible and unbearable storm no experience can match.
It is in such circumstances that you are called to be bold confident in the Lord. Knowing and full of
faith that He is able to calm the storm. Weeping and wailling is not a solution, but a call of faith unto Him pacifies the situation.
Such bold faith, such a still and calm reliance on Him, makes Him prove to the world that He is God.
So be still and call unto Him.
