FAITH IN ACTION
By Prophet TB Bondera
2Kgs.5.15 – And he returned to the man of God, he and all his aides, and came and stood before him; and he said, “Indeed, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, except in Israel; now therefore, please take a gift from your servant.”
Faith is believing that what God has promised is already settled, even when it has not yet manifested in the natural. It is the confidence that God will do what He has said He will do.
One of the greatest expressions of faith is thanksgiving. Most people wait for God to answer before they praise Him, but faith thanks God before the answer arrives. Faith celebrates the victory while the battle is still raging.
Naaman came from Syria carrying gifts for the servant of God, but his focus was on receiving his miracle first. Only after his healing did he return with thanksgiving and an offering. While there is nothing wrong with thanking God after receiving a breakthrough, true faith learns to give thanks even before the manifestation.
Many of us have received prophetic words that are yet to come to pass. We are waiting to celebrate, testify, and offer thanksgiving when we see the fulfilment. Yet faith responds differently. Faith says, “Lord, I thank You because I know Your Word cannot fail.”
When we offer praise, thanksgiving, and sacrificial giving as acts of faith, we demonstrate that we trust God’s Word more than our present circumstances. Such faith honours God and positions us to receive what He has promised.
Do not wait for the breakthrough before you believe. Believe first, and let your thanksgiving become evidence of your faith.
