TAKING UP MY POSITION

Esth.4.14 – For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
There are many people who allow what they give to God to be influenced by what others have given, unfortunately most of the time in a negative way, to give less.
We have Christians today who come to church with calculators in their minds. They give $5 as their offering and the offerings of the day come to $10 in a church with 50 people. They are quick to do the Maths and realise that they themselves have given 50% of the total and conclude that they have given too much. The next time they adjust their giving downwards and give the average.
Who knows, maybe just like Esther, you have been put in such a position for a time like this. Who knows maybe God has made you a custodian of plenty and placed you in a church full of “poor people” to use you as the channel to help that church? If you do not give your best ” at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place.” Leave the calculators at home and give according to what God has given you.
