THE DOCTRINE OF GIVING

And when the disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste? (Matthew 26:8)
Yesterday we learnt that the woman of the city, a sinner of many sins; her giving at that time was not yet either church doctrine or WORD doctrine. She was also the pioneer of such a way of giving. Thus, her giving formulates church or WORD Doctrine. If it was church doctrine, I believe she were not to touch/wash Jesus’s feet and anoint HIM with the whole FULL oil. It was no longer going to be “a revelational giving”. Why? Because they were some “poor people” around.
Had it not been for Jesus Christ, her giving of tears, strength of washing Jesus’s feet with her hair and of the alabaster oil was going to be meaningless. Jesus knew that she anointed Him beforehand for burial whilst the poor has been there and will always be there. The doctrine of giving can never be understood with a carnal mind because it is the doctrine of the WORD.

👉1 Kings.17:13 And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it FIRST, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son.
PRAY:
Lord, when it comes to giving help me to put you FIRST…!!!
