STAYING CONNECTED
By Prophet T.B Bondera
2Kgs.8.1 – Then Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had restored to life, saying, “Arise and go, you and your household, and stay wherever you can; for the LORD has called for a famine, and furthermore, it will come upon the land for seven years.”
There are several lessons which can be drawn from the story of the Shunemmite woman whom we first hear of in 2 Kings 4:8. One of the most profound lessons from the story is the need for one to stay connected to the source of power to remain progressing.
Having received the revelation on what to do to provoke the anointing that was upon Elisha by building a room for the servant of God, she remained connected to the anointing well after being blessed with a child. So when the child died she knew where the solution was. In today’s Scripture we hear that when a famine was about to strike the land she received direction again from the Prophet on what to do to avoid the hunger.
Most of us we live a nomadic life in our Christian walk. We plant our seeds here today, tomorrow we say my answer is not coming so we break camp and move forward. Revelational giving allows one to understand that if it is God who surely spoke to you to give, He will surely make His promise to come to pass.

2Kgs.2.2 – Then Elijah said to Elisha, “Stay here, please, for the LORD has sent me on to Bethel.” But Elisha said, “As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” So they went down to Bethel.
