📖 AMBASSADOR
By Prophet TB Bondera
2Cor.5.20 – Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
An ambassador is the highest representative of one nation in another country. He or she speaks on behalf of the government, the president, and the people of the nation that appointed them.
At every opportunity, an ambassador promotes the interests of his or her country. Ambassadors encourage investors to invest, tourists to visit, and foreign nations to establish stronger relationships with their homeland. They often host events and exhibitions to showcase the beauty, opportunities, and strengths of the country they represent.
In other words, even if an ambassador comes from a poor nation and is posted to one of the richest countries in the world, his or her responsibility remains the same—to speak positively about the homeland and present it in the best possible light.
This is exactly how we ought to conduct ourselves as ambassadors of Christ on earth. We represent the Kingdom of God, the greatest Kingdom that has ever existed and will ever exist. Therefore, we must speak with confidence, authority, and conviction, knowing that we have been sent by the King of kings and Lord of lords.
We should never miss an opportunity to speak about our King and His Kingdom. Just as earthly ambassadors invite people to engage with their nations, we must continually invite others to be reconciled to God and become citizens of His Kingdom. We should never be ashamed to share the Gospel, invite people to church gatherings, or encourage them to experience the goodness of God for themselves.
As ambassadors of Christ, our words, actions, and lifestyle should consistently reflect the Kingdom we represent. Through us, God is making His appeal to the world.
