CONTINUOUS VICTORY

Exod.16.2 – Then the whole congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.
Exod.16.3 – And the children of Israel said to them, “Oh, that we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and when we ate bread to the full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”
Only 30 days after singing and dancing to the LORD praising Him for the mighty works He had done at the Red Sea, the children of Israel were already murmuring against His servant Moses. They could not believe that the same God who had parted the Red Sea right before their own eyes, destroyed the best of Pharaoh’s army and made the bitter water at Marah sweet would be able to give them food to eat in the wilderness.
It is quite funny how the human mind is wired at times. We cry and say God has abandoned us when we fail to get a job soon after graduating from college. Yet we forget that the same God who took us from the first grade in primary school to the last semester in college, providing all the fees and everything else needed is able again to give us that dream job. We doubt that the same God who gave us this marriage in the first place is also able to give us the children we want and all the provisions that they need for their upbringing.
We need to learn to appreciate and thank God for every step He takes us. Learn to say at each point in your life: “EBENEZER: Thus far the LORD you have helped me. But I know that God you have not taken me this far to abandon me here. I know You are still able to do in my life exceedingly, abundantly above what I can think of”.
This sort of praise to God is the recipe for leading a life of continuous victory.
