CHOOSE WISELY

2Kgs.5.27 – Because you have done this, you and your children and your children’s children will suffer from Naaman’s leprosy forever.” When Gehazi left the room, he was leprous; his skin was as white as snow.
At one time, Israel failed to move forward for seven days waiting for Miriam to be healed from leprosy after she had been punished by God for sitting down with Aaron and saying certain things against Moses.
At another time, Israel suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of a small city called Ai because of the transgressions of a one man called Achan.
In todays Scripture, we learnt that the children of Gehazi and their children were afflicted with leprosy because of the actions of Gehazi.
The lessons from these examples are very simple: the actions of one person have the power to open a door for a curse upon a family, a community, or even a nation. Likewise, if the action of one person can attract a curse, it is safe to conclude that the action of one person can also attract a blessing.
Whatever choices, actions or decisions that you are going to make today or the steps you are going to take, first ask yourself this simple question: Is what I am about to do going to open a door for a curse or a blessing for my children and my children’s children?
