PROPHETIC DAILY DEVOTION
Monday 22 November 2021
OWE NO ONE.
By Prophetess B.N Bondera
A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the LORD. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.” (2 Kings 4:1)
When we fear God, our conduct to one another should express love and respect. We should not take advantage of people we meet or make false or fake promises in the name of faith. Fearing God should allow us to live a life of satisfaction. Never coveting other people’s possessions. Never cheating or lying. Honest and truthful should be a result of fearing God.
How shameful it was to Prophet Elisha, to the surviving wife and to the two sons? What was the son’s saying about their late father? As a Christian be responsible and accountable for your action especially when it comes to fearing God.
