THAT WHICH IS DEVOTED.

“Go, consecrate the people. Tell them, ‘Consecrate yourselves in preparation for tomorrow; for this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: That which is devoted is among you, O Israel. You cannot stand against your enemies until you remove it. (Joshua 7:13)
What we have, what we possess, it all belongs to God. God is the supreme owner of everything we have. Silver and gold belongs to Him.
Psalms 24:1 says; “The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;
Meaning to say, we are only stewards of God’s possessions here on earth. Your job, your farm, your land, your wealth and everything it all belongs to God. Thus, to fully enjoy God’s possessions we must not keep that which is devoted. That ten percent of your earnings or profits devote it to God then you shall enjoy the remaining ninety percent.

MEDITATE ON:
Joshua 7:11 “Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenant, which I commanded them to keep. They have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen, they have lied, they have put them with their own possessions..”

Ooh Lord, forgive my cheating, lying and stealing…I pray…!!!
