THE MAJORITY IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT

Luke.17.17 – So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
Luke.17.18 – Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?”
During my time in ministry I have bumped into so many people on the streets who have stopped me and said, “Man of God, I want to thank you and the God you worship. I once came to your church and you prayed for me and I received such and such a miracle”. Some of the faces I do recognize and some of them I do not.
It is quite a sizeable number of these people I have met on the streets. On many occasions I have wondered how many other people are out there that I have not yet met whom God has done something great for. How about those I have met and have turned to face the other way? Or those who no longer recognize me? Then there is the majority that never realised the Hand of God in their lives.
I have come to the conclusion that it is probably in the nature of most people that they do not return to give Glory to God when He has done something for them. Of the ten people with leprosy only one returned to thank Jesus. Of the ten people reading this devotional ask yourself, are you amongst the nine who never returned to give Glory to God or you are the one who came back to thank God?
SCRIPTURE READING:
👉🏿Rom.1.21 – because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
