TITHE OF TIME

Eph.5.16 – redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
It is a Kingdom principle that everything that God releases into your custody you are to give back to Him ten percent of it. This does not refer to material things only but also refers to non tangible items such as strength, intellectual capacity and time.
Normally when we talk of giving back ten percent of our time to God we think only of the time we spend in church, in prayer or reading the Word of God. As a child of God this “tithe of time” should go beyond this and must involve charitable deeds such as helping a widow, an elderly or an orphan near you. When was the last time you gave back time to God by simply fetching one bucket of water for that elderly person who lives near you? Or when was the last time you gave back to God your time by stopping to help that small child to cross a busy road
The times we are living in are evil. Be that beacon of hope in your society by letting the light in you to shine. Be part of the solution to the challenges the world is facing by giving ten percent of your time to do good in this evil world.
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
Col.4.5 – Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.
