WHO IS MY NEIGHBOUR? [1]
By Prophetess B.N Bondera
Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors–empty vessels; do not gather just a few. (2 Kings 4:3)
A neighbour is someone who stays so close to you either in any direction or people who surrounds you. Neighbours are the first to know what dangers, challenges or problems that might come your way than relatives. Meaning to say that most neighbours can be ‘total strangers’ in your life but might be fellow church members, schoolmates, workmates, sport(s)/team members, social or political rival.
Depending with your life status; neighbours are people who come and eat your meals without permission either people who borrows salt, mealie meal etc anytime they feel like or people you go to when you are in need of something. When in trouble or when you want to watch TV if you don’t have one. Thus frank speaking one cannot do without a neighbour.
According to the Bible, one of the greatest commandments is to love your neighbour as you love yourself. But the unfortunate thing is that most Christians are the ones who are not in good books with their neighbours. It’s a shame that you don’t greet your neighbour or that your neighbours don’t greet you. From today repent and seek reconciliation where possible.
TODAY’S VERSE:
Leviticus 19:18 You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbour as yourself: I am the LORD.
DECLARE:
I am not a talebearer or backbiter of my neighbour…!!!
