WHOSE CHILD IS THIS?..

The king said, “Find out whose son this young man is.” (1 Samuel 17:56)
“Whose son are you, young man?” Saul asked him. David said, “I am the son of your servant Jesse of Bethlehem.” (1 Samuel 17:58)
Whenever a child does something wrong in the community; people they ask – whose child is these??? They say, “mwana asina kurairwa” literary meaning “a child who has not been taught good morals”. The blame often comes to the parents. This is exactly what Hophni and Phinehas did; even though Israel knew that these where Eli’s sons the blame went on to the father.
Eli did his best but it was in vain and had to suffer the pain of his sons bad and evil morals. God rained his anger to the entire house of Eli. Your behaviour and attitude can God be proud of you?
The same question can be asked when your child has done good. This happened when David fought and killed Goliath the Philistine giant. King Saul himself had to ask – ‘whose son are you?’ Do good, serve God in His house and in your community; give and share what you have this shall make your heavenly Father proud of you.

Lord make me an obedient child and help me to serve you wholeheartedly..!!
