📖 GIVE WILLINGLY

Luke 19:40 – But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”
God’s work can never be held at ransom by either an individual or a group of people. In simpler terms, God will never allow His work to suffer simply because some people have chosen to withhold their support.
When we give in the House of God, we are not doing God a favour. Neither are we doing the church or the pastor a favour. We give primarily because it is a Kingdom principle that God uses to bless us (Luke 6:38).
Yes, on the surface it may appear as though we give because there are needs to be met in the House of God. However, deep within our hearts, we understand that as we support the work of God, we are also positioning ourselves to receive from Him.
That is why God will never allow any individual to become bigger than the work that He wants to accomplish, such that someone may say, “Without my support, this work cannot continue.”
If God is able to raise children for Abraham from stones, and if He can cause stones to cry out in praise when people remain silent, then surely He is also able to raise others to support His work if some choose not to.
Our support towards the work of God is very important. But let that support come from a willing and cheerful heart, knowing that we are not doing God a favour, but rather taking advantage of a divine channel through which He blesses us.
