DESPISING THE MESSENGER
By Prophet T.B Bondera
2Chr.36.16 – But they mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against His people, till there was no remedy.
God at times uses the lowly or those of a despised background to deliver good tidings to us. When such people bring solutions to us we are quick to say how can they offer me this solution when they cannot rescue themselves from their own situation. This is why and how most of us we miss our breakthroughs.
When Jesus came to His own hometown He failed to perform many miracles there because the people in that town viewed Him as a local carpenter’s son and not as the Messiah (Matt. 13:54 – 58). If Naaman had despised the words of the slave girl in his house he would have died with his leprosy.
Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the gift of discernment so that you will be able to examine each voice that speaks to you and know which one is from God. By doing this, you will not miss the supernatural provisions that God has prepared for you in this season.
SCRIPTURE READING:
👉🏿Matt.13.57 – So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.”
