DISCOVERING YOUR PURPOSE: (4)

Genesis 37:20 So when the Ishmaelites, who were Midianite traders, came by, Joseph’s brothers pulled him out of the cistern and sold him to them for twenty pieces of silver. And the traders took him to Egypt.
Another way that helps one to discover their purpose in life is location. One has to be at the right place at the right time. At times God uses simple tasks, sometimes He uses painful experiences all in an effort to put us in the right location for the glory of our star to be seen.
A simple task of carrying bread to his brothers at the battlefield placed David at the right location for his star to shine. He went to the battlefield as a herd man carrying a basket full of bread and came back a national hero carrying the head of Goliath. Imagine, God allowed Joseph to be sold by his own brothers to the Ishmaelites as a slave so that he can be at the right location to become governor of Egypt.
It’s not every situation that you are passing through that is from the devil. God may have allowed that job loss, that sickness, that divorce to place you in the right location for your star to shine. Whatever situation you are in right now, praise God and glorify Him as He could be using that situation to place you in the right location for you to discover your purpose so that your star may shine.
TODAY’S MEDITATION:
👉🏽Ecclesiastes 9:11 I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.
