STEP FORWARD

2Tim.1.7 – For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
The most effective tool that the devil uses to block good news from locating us is fear.
Many of us we have very brilliant ideas either in business or for our careers, families, and churches, but we have failed to implement those ideas because we are gripped with fear. Many times, we have let life changing opportunities slip away because we were too afraid to grab the opportunities when they were presented before us. At one point, you were presented with an opportunity to lead a certain department or organisation or to occupy a certain position within your community, and that position had the potential to link you with other influential people who could have turned. Yet, because of fear, you turned that offer down.
The one thing that differentiates the ordinary citizens of any country with the movers and shakers in the business or political sphere of that country is that the latter group managed to overcome the spirit of fear. If the four men with leprosy in 2 Kings 7 had not overcome their fear to approach the camp of the Syrians, Samaria would have remained poverty-stricken.
Sometimes, the deliverance of your family, church, community, or even the whole nation from certain bondage is waiting for you to overcome that fear to step forward. If God did not give us the spirit of fear, then where did it come from? I believe the answer is obvious. For you to receive some good news, overcome that spirit of fear today and dare to step forward.
