WORLD CUSTOMS

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Many years ago our lives as human beings was generally restricted to the village one was born in. Poor forms of communication or transportation meant there was very minimal or no outside influence at all to the life in the village. As a result everyone in the village was conformed to the same standards, behavior and customs.
With the introduction of faster communication and transportation systems the whole world has gradually become one village with a one set of customs and behaviours. That globalization has come with it’s own challenges. Now we have so many voices from the world speaking into our lives, hindering us from discovering our God ordained purpose in this world. We end up pursuing purposes that are contrary to the will of God over our lives ultimately dimming the full Glory of the star in our lives.
The solution is simple: seek God more, hear His voice more to counter the voices from the world. By so doing you allow God to transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Once you allow God to do that, you will then discover God’s “good and acceptable and perfect will” over your life.
TODAY’S MEDITATION:
