📖 OBEY

Heb.13.17 – Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.
There are certain things we must pray for in order for them to happen, and there are certain things we must do for certain results to manifest. The important thing is knowing when to pray and when to act.
Have you ever noticed that in every form of relationship, the level of information shared or the benefits received is usually determined by the depth of the relationship? Think about the day you first met your spouse. Obviously, you did not share all your personal experiences and information on the first day, but as the relationship deepened over time, you gradually opened up more and more.
In the same way, as a man, you are unlikely to invest materially in a woman you have just met on the street the same way you would for your wife or your mother. Why? Because the relationship has grown deeper over time, and you have developed trust, love, and honour towards them.
This is more or less how the Anointing works. The more you work for the Anointing, support it, submit to it, follow it, love it, and respect it, the more you benefit from it. It is not so much the responsibility of the Anointing to develop the relationship; rather, it is your responsibility to position yourself correctly.
The easiest way to strengthen your relationship with the Anointing is by improving your relationship with the vessel carrying the Anointing.
Paul then highlights three ways through which the Anointing can greatly profit us:
- Obey what the anointed vessel says.
- Be submissive to them.
- Make sure they watch over your soul with joy and not with grief.
There may be no need for you to keep praying for the Anointing to work for you. If you simply apply these three principles, the Anointing will begin to release more into your life. Therefore, before concluding that the Anointing is not working for you, first examine whether you are practicing these three things.
